Mandsaur. Assembly elections are due in Madhya Pradesh next year. In such a situation, the leaders of the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress have become active. In this episode of activism, Congress staged a sit-in against inflation in Mandsaur on Friday. In this dharna, party leader and former state minister Sajjan Singh Verma, while making a controversial statement, called the founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah as Jinnah Sahib. Sajjan Singh said that along with Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru and Lal Bahadur Shastri, Jinnah sahib was also in the fight to liberate the country. Later, when the media questioned him about this, Sajjan Singh said that history has written that Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians were all involved in the freedom struggle.
Let us inform that earlier, Jinnah love of SP President Akhilesh Yadav was also awakened during the UP assembly elections. During the public meeting in Hardoi, Akhilesh Yadav had said that Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel and Jinnah had studied from the same place and became barristers and they got freedom. They had to struggle in every way, but all of them did not back down. Apart from BJP, Akhilesh was surrounded by many other parties on this statement and criticized him fiercely. However, Akhilesh’s SP colleague Om Prakash Rajbhar supported this statement and said that Jinnah was one of those leaders because of whom the country became independent.
The special thing is that former Madhya Pradesh CM and veteran Congress leader Digvijay Singh had reprimanded Akhilesh Yadav then. Digvijay had said that Akhilesh Yadav has told that he is not aware of history. Digvijay had said that Jinnah was a communal leader, not secular, of India before independence. Jinnah is responsible for the partition of India. Now there is no statement of Digvijay on Jinnah love of Congress leader Sajjan Singh Verma.
