Election strategist Prashant Kishor will reveal his future strategy on Thursday. On May 2, he had tweeted that he would start ‘Jana Suraj’ from Bihar. After this discussion started in Bihar whether Prashant Kishor will form any political party? Or start a social campaign? However, he has not given any additional information regarding this. But on Thursday, he has called a press conference, in which he is going to reveal his strategy.
If Prashant Kishor lays the foundation of a new political front in Bihar today, then the people of the state have already seen him in this avatar. PK had joined the JD(U) in September 2018 after helping the Grand Alliance return to power. Nitish Kumar rewarded him with the post of National Vice President of the party. He was tasked with activating the youth cadre. He was credited with helping JDU’s student wing register its presence in the 2019 Patna University elections.
Have already done ‘Talk of Bihar’
PK was expelled from JDU in January 2020. Nitish Kumar said that he had inducted the election strategist into the party on the request of senior BJP leader and Union Minister Amit Shah. Started “Baat Bihar Ki” campaign after being expelled from JDU. It was an online campaign to enroll members. He cited development indices to show how the state lagged behind its peers.
A source from political consultancy firm I-PAC said: “We started the campaign well, getting over a few lakh members. Then we got stuck in another assignment and things didn’t progress. But the data collected under the campaign is still very important.”
As part of this launch of politics, Kishor has been meeting prominent members of civil society including doctors, RTI activists, retired teachers. He has said that he is looking for good names with a “clean record”. The associates reportedly take visitors’ resumes and detailed suggestions in the meetings they organize. Shiv Prakash Rai, an RTI activist among them told The Indian Express, “A beginning has to be made. If Prashant Kishor is trying to present an alternative model, he should support him and not dismiss him.”
Prashant Kishor continued the process of meeting people on Wednesday as well. Many political and non-political people met Prashant Kishor. A large number of social workers and students were also involved in the meeting. There are many who meet Prashant Kishor and want to be an associate in the program he starts.
Lalu said – everyone returned PK
When Lalu Prasad Yadav was asked about Prashant Kishor after being discharged from AIIMS on Wednesday, he replied with a smile. RJD supremo said, ‘Prashant Kishor has come from all over the country. People returned them. Now they have reached the place where they will have no place to stay.
What was Nitish’s answer on PK’s question?
Earlier, on the occasion of Eid, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar was also asked about PK. He declined to comment on the matter.
