Jaipur. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a affection meeting for the migrant Bihari brothers on Sunday to commemorate Bihar Day as part of the ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ campaign. In this program, special emphasis was laid on the development of Bihar and the contribution of migrant Biharis in Rajasthan. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tar Kishore Prasad, the chief guest of the ceremony, appreciated the unprecedented development in Bihar under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Referring to progress in areas such as education, medicine and infrastructure, he said that the Modi government has ensured the welfare of every class and community. Prasad appreciated his contribution to the prosperity of the state, describing the people of Bihar living in Rajasthan as ‘real Rajasthani’. He also praised the role of Rajasthani community in Bihar and called for working together to realize the dream of developed India.
BJP state president Madan Rathore underlined the industrial development of Bihar under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. He urged the migrant brothers to strengthen Modi in the upcoming elections, stating the clear difference between earlier Bihar and today’s Bihar. Rathore stressed the need of the NDA government for the development of Bihar, criticizing the efforts of opposition parties to break the BJP-Nitish alliance. He also assured to raise the matter before the Railway Minister to run the Ajmer-Darbhanga Express regularly on the demand of the migrant brothers.
Former BJP state president Ashok Parnami, referring to the culture of Rajasthan’s ‘guest Devo Bhava:’, appreciated the contribution of migrant Biharis and making a Purvanchal Cell in Rajasthan BJP. Program convenor Shravan Singh Bagdi highlighted the gifts given by the Modi government to Bihar.
MP Manju Sharma and former Women’s Commission Chairman Suman Sharma also addressed the migrant community. Ashok Thakur, president of Rajasthani Mithila Samaj, proposed a vote of thanks and submitted a memorandum of demand for regularization of Darbhanga and Saharsa Express, on which the state president gave positive assurance.
