After this, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won more seats than in the 2014 elections. Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2019 as well. Now the NDA government is being formed in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and Narendra Modi has been unanimously nominated as the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi has taken oath as the Prime Minister. In such a situation, Narendra Modi has now become the second person to become Prime Minister for the third consecutive time.
Jawaharlal Nehru’s name is also included in the list
Before this, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had become the Prime Minister three times in a row. Let us tell you that Jawaharlal Nehru remained the Prime Minister continuously for about 17 years from 1947 to 1964. Jawaharlal Nehru held his post as Prime Minister for a total of 16 years, 9 months and 13 days. While holding the post of Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru suffered a heart attack and he died on 27 May 1964. After this, Lal Bahadur Shastri was made the next Prime Minister. Let us tell you that Indira Gandhi remained Prime Minister for a total of 15 years, 11 months and 22 days, but she could not become Prime Minister three times in a row.
