Process of double laning of Tandi-Kilad-Sansarinala road of Kullu Lahaul Valley started.

Kullu News Desk. The process of making Tandi-Kilad-Sansarinala road of Lahaul Valley double lane has started. The land involved in this has to be acquired. The farmers of the valley have demanded from the state and central governments that proper compensation should be given for the land acquired for the road expansion. A delegation of local people led by MLA Anuradha Rana met Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi.

The delegation said through the demand letter that the expansion work of Tandi-Thirot-Kilad-Sansarinala road is proposed to be done by the Border Roads Organisation. Information regarding land acquisition has also been issued. Farmers whose agricultural land is coming under road expansion will not get adequate compensation. According to people, the current circle rate is much lower than different mohallas and areas. Said, there is less than two hectares of land including farmers’ land. The land to be acquired is agricultural land. Said that the preliminary notification for land acquisition from Tandi to Udaipur has been issued without the consent of Gram Sabha and Panchayat. MLA Anuradha Rana said that if land is acquired for widening the Tandi-Thirot-Killar-Sansarinala road, the affected people will be compensated under the circle rate on the lines of district headquarters Keylong. It should be met, the Chief Minister and the Revenue Minister have assured this. The delegation also included Suresh Kumar of Tholang, Sushil Anand of Rangwe, Bishan Das Parashira and Prem Chand of Sisu.
