RSS will not celebrate its centenary in 2025.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said this.
RSS has no intention of boasting about its achievements.
Nagpur. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday said the RSS will not celebrate its centenary in 2025 as it does not intend to boast of its achievements. Speaking at the launch of a book, Bhagwat also said that when the RSS was formed in Nagpur in 1925, the office-bearers had to face stiff opposition, lack of resources and difficulty in connecting people. He said that volunteers should keep doing their work in any circumstances. Bhagwat said that ‘there is no need to celebrate the centenary year of RSS. The Sangh is not doing this to boost the ego of the organization. The Sangh has not come to celebrate 100 years of any organization and boast of some achievements.
Mohan Bhagwat said that RSS wants to change the society and believes that the victory of the society should be measured not by wealth creation but by religion. Bhagwat said that ‘the victory of this society will empower other societies and ultimately benefit the world. RSS wants to prepare such people who will try to bring improvement in the society in this way. There is no need to boast about achievements. Bhagwat said that it is worrying that it took 100 years for RSS to achieve some goals. He said the pace of change had slowed down due to ‘the fight against 2000 years of social degradation’. RSS Sarsanghchalak said that ‘Foreigners have taught our people a lesson. We have a bad habit of forgetting what we are. There is a psychological difference between our people because we were ruled by many rulers for centuries.
Treatment of basic mistakes is necessary
Mohan Bhagwat said that in the last 1000-1500 years, the country has successfully fought off foreign invasions from time to time, but due to its own mistakes and traitors, the country got trapped in the cycle of slavery again and again. The RSS chief said that there is a need to deal with this disease, otherwise it will keep happening. To give a lasting message to the invaders, we have to cure some of our fundamental mistakes and this is what Dr. Hedgewar, the founder of RSS, did. Bhagwat said that there is a lack of knowledge in the country about who we are. He said that years of slavery had a deep impact on the mind, due to which there is a lack of ability to speak and think clearly.
‘Cow is the solution to all the problems of the world’, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat asked – Is it the duty of the son to send him for slaughter?
The need to unite the society
He said, ‘Therefore we need to unite the society into a thread that unites us all. We should know our identity clearly and also tell it to the world. That identity is Hindu and we should say with pride that we are Hindus. Regarding the RSS’s journey, Bhagwat said that ‘earlier the RSS volunteers had to face tough opposition, lack of resources and difficulty in connecting with people. In comparison, the situation is now favorable for the organization. Whatever the circumstances, RSS volunteers should keep doing their work.
