On the other hand, Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, Chief Medical Officer of the Indian team in Paris, says, Vinesh’s weight was 2.7 kg more than the set weight after participating in the semi-finals yesterday evening. The team and coach adopted the usual methods of weight loss and Vinesh sweated through exercise all night. But unfortunately, we did not have much time. Throughout the night, the whole team kept trying to reduce Vinesh’s weight. Vinesh was given steam and sauna, exercised and we tried everything that was medically possible. After this, we also had to take some drastic steps like cutting Vinesh’s hair. If we had a few more hours, we could have reduced that 100 grams of extra weight, but we did not have time. At present, Vinesh is completely normal physically and medically.
