Srinagar. Today, on the fourth anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack, there was a conspiracy to carry out a major attack in Jammu and Kashmir. This conspiracy has been busted by the security forces. The security forces foiled this conspiracy on Monday. Under the conspiracy, two overground workers of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed have been arrested. A large number of weapons have been recovered from them. Security related sources told that this consignment of weapons was to be delivered in Pulwama. After getting the information, the army and the police constituted a special team. According to sources, the security forces were to be targeted on the anniversary of the Pulwama attack.
The special team started investigation and stopped two youths who were going on a scooty in Naina Bhatpora area. He had a bag. 25 grenades made in China, 1 pistol, 2 magazines, 230 cartridges, 10 magazines of AK-47 and 300 cartridges were recovered in the bag. The arrested Jaish overground worker has been identified as Shaukat Ahmad Digoo, a resident of Naina. The other is a minor and a resident of Senthar. Shaukat told during interrogation that he was in touch with Ahmed Butt, another overground worker lodged in Rajouri Jail. He told that the weapons were to be delivered to Jaish. Shaukat also told that he and his partner have also been doing the work of providing logistics to Jaish terrorists.
On February 14, 2019, a CRPF bus was targeted by terrorists with an explosive-laden car in Pulwama. 40 CRPF personnel were martyred in this attack. Many others were also injured. The hand of Jaish-e-Mohammed was revealed in these attacks. After which, on the orders of the Modi government, the Air Force carried out an airstrike on Jaish’s major training center in Balakot, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and killed the terrorists and their handlers staying there. Today there is a tribute meeting in Pulwama. It is believed that in the meantime, Jaish had conspired to commit a terrorist incident there again.
