Who got 59 seats, his government in Punjab
There are a total of 117 assembly seats in the Punjab Legislative Assembly and in this sense, whichever party will win 59 seats here, that party will form the government in Punjab. The main contest in Punjab is between the BJP and its allies, apart from the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and Shiromani Akali Dal.
Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has contested the assembly elections this time with the BJP by forming a separate party. Although the Aam Aadmi Party was claiming to form the government earlier on the election, but at the last moment in the election, the Aam Aadmi Party came on the back foot due to the allegations of Kavi Kumar Vishwas.
Kumar Vishwas had accused Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal of having links with Khalistani leaders and also said that during the 2017 assembly, Kejriwal had said that he would become the first prime minister of independent Punjab.
