Items worth Rs 1.95 lakh crore were purchased
The purchase value in FY 2021-22 was Rs 1.06 lakh crore and in the last financial year it crossed Rs 2 lakh crore. He said procurement of services from the platform has increased from Rs 66,000 crore in FY 2022-23 to Rs 2.05 lakh crore so far in the current financial year. Similarly, in the current financial year till March 28, goods worth Rs 1.95 lakh crore were purchased from the platform.
GEM ranks third in the world
Currently, government departments, ministries, public sector units, state governments and central armed police forces are allowed to transact through this platform. South Korea’s KONEPS tops the list of such platforms worldwide. After this, Singapore’s GEBIZ is at second place and then GeM is at third place.
