Told SCO extended family
On the other hand, PM Modi in the opening speech described SCO as an important platform for peace, prosperity and development in the entire Eurasia region. He said that the SCO should not be seen as an extended neighbourhood, but as an extended family. He said that security, economic development, connectivity, unity, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity and environmental protection are major pillars of SCO. However, this year the conference was not as massive as compared to last year. Last year, the conference was held for two days in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
