In a major revelation, ACB Jaipur has arrested Executive Engineer Hari Prasad Meena in a disproportionate assets case. This operation, run by Additional Superintendent of Police Bhupendra of ACB Jaipur City-I, has been named ‘Audi’.
The ACB investigation has revealed that Hari Prasad Meena, posted in the Public Works Department in Dudu block of Jaipur, has so far earned assets of about Rs 4 crore since the appointment in government service, which is more than 200 per cent of its legitimate income.
Investigation also revealed that the accused had bought several luxury vehicles including two Audi cars, one Mahindra Scorpio, a Ford Endeavor and a Royal Enfield bike, which is worth about Rs 1.5 crore from his illegal income. Its estimate is Rs 2 crore. Apart from this, Hariprasad Meena spent about 45 lakh rupees on stay in foreign trips and expensive hotels. A real estate of about Rs 1.5 crore has also been purchased by investing in premium apartments like Unique Emporia and Unique New Town at Mahal Road in Jaipur. At the same time, there is also a luxurious farm house in his native villages Bagdi, Lalsot, Dausa.
Accounts have been found in 19 banks in the name of Hari Prasad Meena and his family members, in which crores of rupees have been transacted. It has also been learned that the accused had suspected the loan of crores of rupees taken from banks in suspicious time, which raises questions on his source of income.
