New Delhi. BJP national spokesperson Nalin Kohli has described the questions raised by Congress and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders regarding ‘Operation Sindoor’ as unfortunate. He said that it is very worrying that some political parties and their leaders in our country are not deterred from doing politics even on such serious and sensitive issues.

Nalin Kohli told news agency on Friday, “We have seen earlier, when the Army or Air Force took action in Balakot, even when there was a surgical strike, these parties still questioned. Today Pakistan also questions India’s military campaigns and unfortunately, the leaders of our country adopt the same attitude on such matters.”

He said that it is disrespectful to raise such questions by not trusting what the army is saying. He also warned that such rhetoric and doubts can become part of anti -India propaganda abroad, especially in Pakistan. “Such leaders and parties should also think how their statements can be misused.”

Criticizing the comment of Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav on Air Force officer Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, Nalin Kohli said that the use of such language and caste contexts is extremely objectionable. Our soldiers rise above any caste, religion or class and serve the country. In the last few days, many condemnable statements have come out which are not only unfair, but can also affect the morale of our army.

He said that Indian Army soldiers and officers see themselves as an Indian and put their lives for the safety of the country. In such a situation, it is completely unfair to link their identity with caste or other social grounds for political gains. Such rhetoric should be avoided and the army should be kept away from politics.
