Rahul Dravid said this
Rahul Dravid said that every tournament is important. As India’s coach, every match has been important for me. It does not matter to me that this is my last tournament as a coach. Dravid became the head coach of India after the T20 World Cup in November 2021. He said that I like my job very much. I thoroughly enjoyed coaching the Indian team. It is also a special job. I enjoyed working with the team but with this kind of schedule of cricket and the stage of life I am in right now, I don’t think I will be able to apply again. So this is my last tournament but it does not matter to me. Every match is important and matters to me from day one. There will be no change in this.
Indian team could not win ICC trophy
The Indian team was not able to win a single ICC trophy during the coaching of Rahul Dravid. Under his coaching, Team India reached the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022. But the team had to face defeat by 10 wickets against England. After this, India had to face defeat against Australia in the final of the ODI World Cup 2023. But Rahul Dravid has a good chance of winning the ICC trophy.
