New Delhi. Newly elected MPs on Tuesday took oath in the Lok Sabha during the ongoing session. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by MPs from various political parties, including prominent leaders Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, who both came to the podium carrying copies of the Constitution. Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav took the oath of office and secrecy with copies of the Constitution at the podium. Rahul Gandhi brought the red copy, while Akhilesh Yadav brought the blue copy. After taking the oath, Rahul Gandhi raised slogans of “Jai Hind” and “Jai Samvidhaan”. Shortly after, Akhilesh Yadav also arrived to take the oath carrying a blue copy of the Constitution.

When Rahul Gandhi’s name was called for oath, opposition leaders stood up and started raising slogans of “Jodo Jodo, Bharat Jodo”. Congress members also raised these slogans after he took oath. During this, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav also started raising slogans. A video of Akhilesh Yadav’s reactions during Rahul Gandhi’s swearing-in has gone viral on social media.
Rahul Gandhi elected from Rae Bareli
This time Rahul Gandhi has been elected from Rae Bareli constituency of Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, he has represented Wayanad in Kerala and Amethi in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha. In 2022, Rahul Gandhi organized the “Bharat Jodo Yatra” earlier this year.
