According to information received from sources, in the meeting going on at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi has refused to become the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha. It is believed that Rahul Gandhi currently wants to strengthen the organization, that is why he does not want to take any post.
After Rahul Gandhi’s refusal, the names of Congress leaders Shashi Tharoor and Gaurav Gogoi are now being discussed. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, party general secretary KC Venugopal and Priyanka Gandhi are present in this meeting. Let us tell you that in the Congress Working Committee meeting on June 8, the proposal was unanimously passed that Rahul Gandhi should lead the opposition in the Lok Sabha. After the passing of this proposal, all the party leaders requested Rahul Gandhi to accept this demand. However, Rahul Gandhi had said that he would take a decision after thinking about it. Now there is talk that Rahul has refused to accept this demand of the party leaders.
The party leaders were of the opinion that Rahul Gandhi is the only leader who can put forward the opposition’s point strongly in front of the government.
