Veer Savarkar’s grandson Satyaki Savarkar had filed a case against Rahul Gandhi.

Satyaki Ashok Savarkar had filed a case against Rahul Gandhi in April 2023 at Vishrambaug police station in Pune. After investigating the matter, the police presented the investigation report in the court on 27 May 2024. According to Sangram Kolhatkar, the lawyer of Veer Savarkar’s grandson Satyaki, the report given by the police in the court after investigating Rahul Gandhi’s statement clearly states that the claim made by the Congress leader about Veer Savarkar in London is wrong. The police investigation report said that the complaint made about Rahul Gandhi is correct. Rahul Gandhi is accused of saying in London that Veer Savarkar wrote in his book that he along with his 5-6 companions had beaten up a Muslim and said that he felt happy about it.

Many other defamation cases are also going on against Rahul Gandhi. A volunteer had filed a case against him for his statement about RSS. A case of insulting Amit Shah is also going on against Rahul Gandhi. In the case of calling people with surname Modi thieves, the trial court had sentenced Rahul Gandhi to 2 years of imprisonment and the Gujarat High Court had upheld the sentence. Due to this, Rahul Gandhi also lost his membership of Parliament. Later the Supreme Court stayed the sentence and Rahul Gandhi once again became an MP. Now Rahul Gandhi is in trouble in the Savarkar case, because his statement has been found to be false in the police investigation report.
