Former MLA Gyan Dev Ahuja washed the temple with Ganga water in Alwar, Rajasthan, after the Ram temple tour of Tikaram Julie. The BJP then suspended him from the party. But the dispute did not end here. Rahul Gandhi condemned the incident.
“The country will run from the constitution”
Rahul Gandhi wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “Another example of BJP’s anti -Dalit and humanist ideology! The BJP is constantly insulting Dalits and attacking the Constitution. So it is not only necessary to respect the Constitution, but also to protect it. Modiji, the country will run from the Constitution and its ideals, not from Manusmriti, which is considered a other -class citizen.”
Prince Roth also condemned it.
BAP MP Rajkumar Rotte also condemned the incident and wrote on ‘X’, “We strongly condemn the BJP leader to make casteist remarks by the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly to make casteist remarks and sprinkle Ganga water. The question arises that who is nurturing such a mentality in the country?”
Learn about the case in detail.
On 6 April, on the occasion of Ram Navami, a community in Alwar organized a Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Sri Ram Mandir. Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Tikaram Julie also participated in it and offered prayers in the temple. The next day, Gyan Dev Ahuja objected that such people have been called who have rejected the existence of Lord Shri Ram. He also said that “unclean people had entered the temple, so we purified it with Ganga water.”
Dotasara shared the video.
After this, Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara shared a video of Shri Ram temple in Alwar on social media and claimed that after visiting Tikaram Julie’s temple, BJP leader Gyan Dev Ahuja sprinkled Ganga water to ‘purify’ the temple. After this, the BJP issued a show cause notice to Gyan Dev Ahuja and said that they have violated the original ideology and discipline of the party. Due to this, he was suspended from the party.
