There is usually bitterness between India’s two major political parties, BJP and Congress. Both PM Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi are often seen targeting each other. However, now Rahul Gandhi has praised a decision of PM Modi. In fact, hundreds of people died due to landslide in Wayanad, Kerala. Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has decided to visit Wayanad. Rahul Gandhi has supported this move of PM Modi.

What did Rahul Gandhi say?

Rahul Gandhi has praised PM Modi’s decision to personally visit Wayanad. Rahul wrote on X – Thank you Modi ji for personally visiting Wayanad to take stock of the terrible tragedy. This is a good decision. I am confident that once the Prime Minister sees the extent of the devastation firsthand, he will declare it a national disaster.

PM Modi’s visit to Wayanad on August 10

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the landslide-hit areas of Wayanad on August 10. He expressed hope that the Prime Minister will take a positive stance regarding providing central assistance for the rehabilitation of the disaster victims.

PM Modi will meet the survivors of the accident

Prime Minister Modi will visit landslide-hit Wayanad on Saturday and review the relief and rehabilitation work and interact with the survivors of the accident. PM Modi will reach Kannur at 11 am and then conduct an aerial survey of the landslide-affected area in Wayanad. He will visit relief camps and hospitals, where he will meet the victims and survivors of the landslide. After this, the PM will chair a review meeting in which he will be briefed in detail about the incident and the ongoing relief efforts.
