The former Chief Minister said – from Korona to Galwan, Rahul Gandhi warned in time, but the government did not listen
Jaipur. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, in a media interaction on Tuesday, made a big statement about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s political foresight and his role in opposition. He said that Rahul Gandhi has already warned the country and the government from time to time on serious issues, but the government never took his warning seriously.
Gehlot said, “This is a great feature of Rahul Gandhi ji. Whether corona has come or China has been occupied in Galwan, since then I am seeing that he has warned the government every time in advance. This is the role of the opposition.”
He also said that as the Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi gets a continuous feedback from the country and abroad, like the ruling parties get. Gehlot said, “The Leader of Opposition also takes feedback from the country and abroad, from the media, from foreign agencies, or from other means, they warned the country on the basis of the same information.”
Taking a dig at the government, the former Chief Minister said that “Rahul Gandhi’s assessment proved to be correct many times, but the government ignored it and finally faced trouble itself.”
Ashok Gehlot emphasized that ignoring the opposition’s words is dangerous for the democratic system and this may cause loss to the country.
