Election Commission officials on Monday inspected a helicopter carrying Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Nilgiris of Tamil Nadu, news agency PTI reported. Police said that after the helicopter landed in the Nilgiris, flying squad officials searched it. Rahul Gandhi was visiting his parliamentary constituency, Wayanad in Kerala, where he is scheduled to hold several campaign rallies, including public meetings. Rahul Gandhi is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad where elections are scheduled to be held on April 26.

From an open vehicle, Rahul Gandhi waved at the crowd amid slogans in support of him and the Congress party. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will reach Kerala on his two-day visit and will also address a United Democratic Front (UDF) rally in Kozhikode in the evening and participate in several programs in his constituency.
