Lucknow. UPATS has taken major action against the Islamic fundamentalist organization Popular Front of India (PFI) in UP. According to sources UPATS has conducted raids in Lucknow, Moradabad, Meerut, Varanasi and Azamgarh. The raids were conducted from Saturday morning till late night. In these raids, 1 ISI official has been detained from Lucknow, 1 from Moradabad, 3 from Azamgarh, 4 from Varanasi and 5 from Meerut. It is being told that they are being interrogated. After which more PFI people can be arrested. Earlier, NIA had raided many places in UP to nab PFI people.
PFI was banned by the central government in 2022. Earlier, an important document of PFI was seized by the police in Phulwari Sharif, Bihar. In this document, PFI had told that in the year 2047, it is preparing to make India an Islamic nation. Two agents of PFI were also arrested by the Bihar Police. It was only after this that the NIA had conducted extensive raids against the PFI across the country. Very shocking evidence was found after NIA raids twice. On whose basis the central government had banned PFI.
Right now the issue of PFI has cropped up even in the assembly elections in Karnataka. It is said about PFI that after the ban on Islamic terrorist organization SIMI, its own workers formed PFI. The PFI cadre has also been accused of chopping off a professor’s hand in Kerala and attacking and killing several Hinduist leaders. Recently there was news that PFI agents are working continuously even after the ban. After this, the NIA once again conducted large-scale raids.
