Congress demanded the resignation of the Railway Minister
Meanwhile, on microblogging site X, Congress demanded the resignation of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav over the accident. Kerala Congress’s X handle posted pictures of the incident and demanded resignation, saying – “The country knows that reel minister Ashwini Vaishnav will neither resign nor respond to calls for accountability. While he resigned due to a railway accident during the tenure of NDA’s key partner Nitish Kumar, Vaishnav was rewarded for a record number of accidents during his previous tenure.”
Here, RJD leader Bhai Virendra also asked the Railway Minister to resign over the accident. He said, “In a country where the railways have been privatized, accidents are bound to happen. Earlier, when accidents happened during the Congress and UPA governments, the ministers used to resign. Now, no minister resigns even after such a big accident. We have no hope from this government. This is a gang government which is responsible for these things.”
