Jaipur. North Western Railway not only operates summer and festival special trains to make the journey of passengers easier but also claims to take full care of their safety. NWR recently presented the data of its three special operations and told how it is increasing the happiness index of passengers. Under these operations, the railways has returned the smiles of thousands of passengers. Under ‘Operation Amanat’, lost luggage worth Rs 8 crore of 4 thousand passengers has been returned in the last five years.
According to NWR’s CPRO Captain Shashi Kiran, North Western Railway has launched 3 operations for the convenience of its passengers. These operations have been going on for the last five years. These include ‘Operation Amanat’, ‘Operation Aahat’ and ‘Operation Nanhe Farishte’. In the last five years, NWR has achieved tremendous success in these three operations and returned happiness to the passengers.
14 cases of human trafficking were caught
Under ‘Operation Amanat’, the lost luggage of passengers in railways and trains is returned to them. In the last five years, the railways have returned the lost luggage of 4 thousand passengers under this operation. The value of this luggage was around 8 crores. At the same time, under ‘Operation Aahat’, efforts are made to stop human trafficking. In the last five years, 14 cases of this were caught. Many accused were arrested and human trafficking was stopped. The result of this was that till the year 2024, only one case of human trafficking has come to light at Gandhinagar Railway Station.
111 children were recovered and handed over to their parents
Through ‘Operation Nanhe Farishtay’, children lost on platforms, railway station premises or in trains are reunited with their parents. Under this operation, 111 lost children have been recovered and handed over to their parents in five years. The railways have achieved great success in all three operations. NWR does not want to make any changes in these three operations at present and is continuing them after seeing their results.
NWR said- we understand the problems of passengers
The common Indian travels the most by trains. In such a situation, cases like loss of luggage, theft, missing children and human trafficking keep coming up every day. But NWR says that they understand the problems of the passengers. They are committed to ensure that the passengers reach their homes safely and these efforts will continue in the future as well.
