At the same time, another state settled in the lap of the mountains, Uttarakhand, is also witnessing heavy rain and landslides due to it. A woman was injured and many vehicles were also damaged due to the landslide in Pulna on the way to Hemkund Sahib.

In its latest forecast, the Meteorological Department has said that heavy rains may occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Western UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Eastern and Western Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha of Maharashtra. Heavy to very heavy rains are also expected in Gujarat. The Meteorological Department has also predicted very heavy rains in Jharkhand. Apart from this, heavy rains are also expected in Odisha, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala and coastal Karnataka. Heavy to very heavy rains may also occur in West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be heavy rains in all these states for the next few days.

The Meteorological Department had already predicted this year that there will be heavy rainfall due to the La Nina effect. This year in June, the monsoon reached Kerala 3 days before time. After which there was a heavy spell of rain in the southern states. At the same time, the monsoon winds coming from the Bay of Bengal brought heavy rains and floods in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh in the Northeast. However, in June, there was 19 percent less rainfall than the average. Till a few days ago in July, less rainfall was recorded in 6 states. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be a lot of rain till the end of September and it will be much more than the average.
