According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclone is formed over the Bay of Bengal and the Gangetic coast of West Bengal. Apart from this, there is a cyclone-like situation near Rajasthan and Gujarat. Due to this, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in the northern and central parts of the country for the next few days.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the formation of cyclone-like conditions in two places, there will be heavy rain in eastern Rajasthan, Central Indian states Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Chhattisgarh. A yellow alert has been issued for all these states. The Meteorological Department has also said that there is a yellow alert for heavy rain in some places in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, UP, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand in North India. Heavy rain has been predicted in Odisha for several consecutive days from Friday. Light to moderate rain may also occur in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. The Meteorological Department says that a fresh round of rain may also be seen in the northeastern states including Assam.
