According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rains in Delhi and NCR till Friday. The Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert for rain for Delhi and NCR. The Meteorological Department says that monsoon is very active in Delhi and NCR. Due to this, there will be heavy rains for the next few days. This will also bring down the temperature. The Meteorological Department has also issued a cloudburst warning for hilly areas.

The Meteorological Department estimates that there is a monsoon trough in the Assam valley, apart from Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and the Himalayan areas of West Bengal. In such a situation, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in all these states. There may be incidents of cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In both the states, incidents of cloudburst have happened in many places earlier this year. Many people have lost their lives in these. Cloudburst incidents are seen only in hilly areas. Looking at the latest condition of monsoon, the Meteorological Department has declared an alert for all the hilly states.

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in Rajasthan, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Heavy rains may also occur in northeastern states including Assam and Mizoram. The Meteorological Department has also issued a red alert for very heavy rains in Mizoram. The Meteorological Department has also said that there will be light to moderate rains in Jammu and Kashmir, eastern parts of Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Andaman and Nicobar, interior parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. There was less rain in 6 states in July. Whereas, 19 percent less rain than the average was seen in June.
