New Delhi. From the beginning of August till now, Delhi has received heavy rainfall. The Meteorological Department (IMD) said that in the last two days, very little rainfall was recorded in Delhi. It is getting light in some areas at night. IMD said that the possibility of rain in Delhi is very less on Saturday as well, that is, there may be sporadic rain in some areas. But, the Meteorological Department has expressed concern about the rising water level of Yamuna. At the same time, there was sporadic rain in different areas of Delhi late on Friday night. But the situation in Noida and surrounding areas was bad due to humidity.
The Meteorological Department said that there was not much rain in North India in July. But, from the beginning of August, the monsoon turf started shifting to the north, due to which heavy rains occurred in most parts of North India from the beginning of August. The IMD said that the rain will continue in these areas till August 22. There is a possibility of medium to heavy rainfall in northern states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, eastern Rajasthan and hilly states Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department said that in many states, the rain has crossed its monthly average quota within 15 days, but heavy rains in the coming days can become a cause of concern.

The Meteorological Department has released a big update regarding the weather on Friday. Meteorological Department scientists said that low pressure is forming in the Bay of Bengal, due to which very heavy rains can occur in eastern states like Odisha and West Bengal and the states adjoining them. Due to this, heavy rains occurred in Odisha on Friday as well. The Meteorological Department said that the effect of this cyclonic system can be seen in West Bengal, Jharkhand as well as some parts of Bihar in the next 3 days. The charge of the cyclone can gradually move towards north-west India, the effect of which can also be seen in Delhi.
Rain in next 24 hours
IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in West Bengal and Jharkhand. At the same time, the situation is going to be worse in the mountains. Heavy rainfall, up to about 7 cm, is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand as well as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Konkan and Goa, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry.

Here, there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe, Rayalaseema. There is a possibility of storms with a speed of 35 km/hr to 65 km/hr in the states adjoining the sea areas such as Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. Fishermen have been advised not to go to these areas.
