New Delhi. The pre-monsoon rains in the national capital on Thursday exposed the government’s failure. Waterlogging occurred at many places like Punjabi Bagh, Narayana, Delhi Cantt, Mahipalpur, due to which long traffic jams were seen on the roads. Passengers were seen struggling in the jam to reach their destination. The traffic police and Delhi Municipal Corporation received many calls regarding waterlogging, traffic jams and fallen trees.
Due to today’s rain in Delhi, waterlogging occurred. Due to this, there was a jam from Akshardham area to Ghazipur Meat Market and vehicles were seen crawling. Similar situation was seen from Akshardham to Sarai Kale Khan. Ghaziabad resident Avadhesh Mehra said that it took him about an hour to reach home.
Mehra further told PTI, ‘There was a huge jam on the road going towards Uttar Pradesh from near Akshardham. There was waterlogging near the Ghazipur Meat Market intersection. It took me an hour to reach my home from that route. The traffic condition was very bad.’
