Lalsot. The continuous torrential rain in the subdivision headquarters Lalsot has become a disaster for the people. Due to heavy rains, Ghanshyam Sharma’s pucca house suddenly collapsed in Gobaria Pada on Sunday. It is a matter of honor that the family members were not present inside the house at the time of the accident, otherwise there could have been a large loss of life.
On hearing the sound of the house falling, the people around reached the spot and on seeing this, a crowd of people gathered there. The residents demanded compensation to the victim’s family from the city council administration.
Jeetu Bond, a member of the victim’s family, said that there has been a loss of about 10 lakh rupees due to the collapse of the house. He said that “We were all outside, otherwise it could have been a big tragedy today. The house collapsed with rain water in front of the eyes. Now we are expecting relief from the administration.”
Local people have appealed to the administration to provide quick financial assistance to the family affected.
