Today, a warning of scorching heat has been issued in 23 cities of the state, among them the situation is the worst in Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner. Therefore, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of heat stroke here. Apart from this, due to the effect of western disturbance, a warning of strong ravages has also been issued in 8 cities of the state today. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the outbreak of heat will continue in Rajasthan till April 18 and in Gujarat till 17 April.
There will be rain on 18-19 April.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains at many places in the northwestern part of the country on 18 and 19 April. According to the Meteorological Department, a serious disturbance is becoming active in the western part of the Himalayas from 16 April, which will have the highest impact on April 18 and 19. Due to this, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in the plains.
According to IMD Barmer-Jaisalmer, heat can be relieved for a few days after April 18 and the temperature can remain between 40 and 41 degrees.
Talking about the last 24 hours, Barmer recorded the highest temperature in the state 45.5 degrees.
Today, a warning of thunderstorms and drizzle has been issued in 8 districts of the state due to a weak western disturbance. The Meteorological Department says that due to the effect of this disturbance, Alwar, Banswara, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu and Karauli may cause strong thunderstorms and light rain.
At the same time, Ajmer, Baran, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Jhalawar, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Kota, Pratapgarh, Sikar, Churu, Jalore, Nagaur, Pali, Hanumangarh and Ganganagar have been issued an alert. Out of these, Orange Alerts in Nagaur, Pali, Jalore and Chittorgarh and Red Alerts in Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner have been issued.
