Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav raised the issue of Instagram reels during Zero Hour in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. He strongly reprimanded those who spread nudity in the society by making reels. He said that this platform of social media has made the society uncivilized, whose victims are a large number of our youth today. He said that not only this, many big accidents are also happening every day due to social media. In such a situation, it becomes necessary for the present government to take strict steps to curb it. If no steps are taken in this direction in time, then the situation can become more dangerous in future.
“Character is lost everything is lost”
SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav said, “In our time, children were taught English in schools in the sixth grade and when the child learned a little English, the teacher used to make him memorize some sentences like wealth is lost nothing is lost, health is lost something is lost and character is lost everything is lost. I feel very sad to say that there are some channels among us, which are constantly serving obscenity and violence in our society. One such platform is Instagram reels. The young generation of the country is currently wasting three hours on this platform. The young generation of our country is wasting their precious time to watch very obscene content.”
“A lot of distortions are being created in the society”
He further said, “This is creating a lot of distortions in the society. Every day we read in the newspapers that friendship happened on Instagram, then marriage happened. After this the boy murdered the girl. Somewhere the girl stole all the things of the boy and ran away. Such incidents happen every day. It has been happening in our society that we have been gathering with the whole family, but now this is not happening due to this social media. Now everyone is busy with the phone. In such a situation, now the relations have started deteriorating. We keep getting such information that the son killed the father, this is happening because now love is ending. Apart from this, due to this platform of social media, people are not able to communicate with each other in the family, otherwise earlier people used to talk openly in the family. Due to this, the possibility of youth going astray used to be less, but now it is not so. Due to this, such a situation has come.” (IANS)
