Ramita Jindal qualified for the medal event in women’s 10m air rifle

Paris Olympics 2024: The second day was very special for India at the Paris Olympics 2024 in which Manu Bhaker opened the country’s account in the medal tally by winning the bronze medal. In the shooting itself, India’s 20-year-old shooter Ramita Jindal has confirmed her place for the medal event by finishing 5th in the qualification round in the women’s 10m air rifle event. Apart from Ramita, India’s Elavenil Valarivan also participated in the qualification round but she finished 10th after 6 series, due to which she could not manage to make her place in the medal event. Ramita had scored above 104 in all six series of the qualification round.

In the history of Olympics, Ramita has become the first female player from India after 20 years to confirm her place in the final of the rifle event of shooting. Ramita confirmed her place in the Paris Olympics by winning the gold medal in the Baku World Championship in the year 2023. Ramita was born in Haryana from where she also started her shooting journey. Ramita won the bronze medal in the women’s event in the Junior World Championship held in the year 2021. At the same time, Ramita succeeded in winning the silver medal and bronze medal in the 19th Asian Games.

Medal event will be held on 29th July

Ramita Jindal scored a total of 631.5 in 6 series in the qualification round. Talking about the final match of this event, it will be played on July 29 at 1 pm Indian time. Everyone is expecting a similar performance from Ramita like Manu Bhaker, who won the bronze medal in the 10 meter pistol event.
