Sunrisers had retained Samad for four crores
Samad was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 4 crore. Apart from them, the team also retained Umran Malik and Kane Williamson. Samad made his IPL debut on 29 September 2020 against Delhi Capitals. He has played for Sunrisers in two seasons so far. During this, he has scored 222 runs in 18 innings of 23 matches at an average of 15.86. His strike rate is 146.05.
