Jaipur. RAS officers sitting on strike in the Secretariat in protest against the attack on SDM Amit Chaudhary during election duty in Deoli Uniara have decided to leave the protest site and continue the pendown strike. However, a final decision regarding the future of the strike will be taken after meeting Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday evening.

RAS Association President Mahavir Kharadi said that the pendown strike is continuing and further strategy will be considered after the meeting of all the representatives. The association has demanded the government to take strict action regarding the safety of the employees in this matter. He stressed the need to implement the Employees Security Act, so that such incidents can be prevented in future.

On the other hand, after the arrest of accused Naresh Meena, his supporters protested in Deoli-Uniara. Supporters blocked roads, burned tires and set vehicles on fire. Police resorted to lathi charge and released tear gas shells at some places to bring the situation under control. Despite this, the situation remains tense.
