New Delhi. A case of fixing has come to light in Afghanistan cricket. The young opener of the team has been banned for 5 years on charges of corruption. ICC has imposed this ban on Inshanullah Janat. 26-year-old Inshanullah Janat is considered one of the talented players. He has played in all three formats of Test, ODI and T20 for Afghanistan.
According to ICC, Inshanullah Janat has been found guilty of violating the anti-corruption code in season-2 of Kabul Premier League. Inshanullah Janat has been banned on 7 August. But the troubles of Afghanistan cricket are not going to end here.
The ICC has said that it is investigating three more Afghan cricketers to see if they were involved in corruption. At first glance, the evidence seems to be sufficient. The investigation of these three is ongoing and a decision will be taken soon. The ICC has not disclosed the names of these cricketers.
