Ratlam Crime News: Ratlam On the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, thieves targeted the deserted house of chilli spice trader Ankit Rathod in Dongre Nagar of Industrial Police Station area. By breaking the locks of his house, the thieves took away gold and silver jewelery worth more than eight lakh rupees and one lakh 30 thousand rupees. When the watchman arrived, the thieves pelted stones at him. The watchman somehow saved his life and raised a noise by hitting a stick at the door of a house. When the people woke up, the thieves ran away.
According to the information, Ankit Rathod had gone to Badnagar with the family to attend his niece’s birthday program on Saturday evening by locking the house. In the night, thieves broke into his house by bringing two shelves of the house and took away the jewelery and money kept in it. The thieves also searched the bed box. When Ankit and his family members reached home at 5 am on Sunday morning, the locks were broken and the goods were found scattered. Ankit and the residents told that a call was made on Dial Hundred but the team of Dial Hundred did not reach for a long time. After this a person went to the police station and went there and informed the police, then the police came to the spot.
In the afternoon, the station in-charge OP Singh and other officers investigated the spot. According to the police, the thieves have not been found. A case is being registered and search is on for them. The police have also checked the surrounding CCTV cameras. Two or three suspicious people have appeared in a camera but their faces are not visible. Police is also engaged in checking cameras of other places.
Incident at LIC employee’s house
Thieves also targeted the house of LIC employee Ramesh Meena in Riddhi Siddhi Colony, about a kilometer from Dongre Nagar. Thieves entered his house and took away the goods. Ramesh Meena had gone to Chittorgarh to drop the children. They arrived in the afternoon. Ramesh Meena told that the belongings of the house are being checked. Only after checking will it be known what the thieves stole.
