The T20 World Cup is to be organized in West Indies and America this year. The tournament is to be played in the month of June. The Indian team has also announced its squad. Meanwhile, former head coach of India Ravi Shastri has given a big statement regarding two players to India. Ravi Shastri has told which players can prove to be the trump card for Team India in this World Cup. These two players are none other than Shivam Dubey and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Both these players have been included in the World Cup squad for the first time.
What did Shastri say?
Former India head coach Ravi Shastri said that Shivam Dubey’s ability to hit big sixes will help India score big scores in the upcoming T20 World Cup and India’s hopes will rest on Dubey along with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal and Dubey will debut in the T20 World Cup to be held in America and West Indies from June 1. Shastri told ICC that both are left-handed batsmen and are playing their first World Cup. One is Yashasvi Jaiswal who performed brilliantly against England. He is young and plays without fear.
Dubey, who plays for Chennai Super Kings, has scored 350 runs in 11 matches this season at a strike rate of 170.73. Regarding Dubey, Shastri said that he will see him in the middle order. He is aggressive and a match winner. He hits sixes for fun and plays spin bowling very well. He said that he is effective against fast bowlers also. His role will be important at number five and six. If anyone can change the map of the game in 20 overs, it is Shivam Dubey. His strike rate is around 200 which will help India a lot.
