New Delhi. After a struggle of more than 500 years, the much-awaited moment has finally arrived when the idol of Lord Ram, the child form of Ram Lala, has been placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The statue will be unveiled in a grand consecration ceremony to be held on January 22. On Wednesday, January 18, the idol was taken to the Ram temple complex via a truck, courtesy of the Vivek Srishti Trust. The complex task of bringing the idol inside the temple involved the use of cranes.
Pran Pratishtha program started on 16 January
The auspicious rituals began on Tuesday, January 16, and will continue till the main ceremony. These celebrations will continue till January 21 and the grand event will conclude on January 22. Notably, the sculptor behind the statue is the renowned Arun Yogi Raj from Mysore, Karnataka. As per the responsibility assigned by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the idol of Ram Lala entered the sanctum sanctorum on Thursday, January 18. The trust shared on social media platform X, “Today, at 12:30 pm, the idol of Lord Ram was entered into the Ram temple in Ayodhya. At 1:20 pm, the atmosphere became spiritually alive with the chanting of Vedic mantras, along with the main resolution by the patron. The consecration rituals, including the ceremonial bathing of the idol, were completed on Thursday afternoon.”
The entire nation is eagerly waiting for the culmination of this historic moment on January 22, when the idol of revered Lord Ram will be consecrated in the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
