Jaipur. The heat in Rajasthan has now started moving towards its peak. The entire Rajasthan is struggling with the scorching heat. The mercury reached 46.5 degrees in Barmer on Friday. Due to this, there was a curfew like situation on the streets in the afternoon. At the same time, heat has shown its fierce form in other areas including Phalodi and Churu. There also the thermometer crossed 45.5 degrees. The scorching heat has troubled the residents of Rajasthan. The hot winds and gusts have made life difficult.
According to the Meteorological Department, not only Barmer but many areas of the state are scorching due to the heat of the sun. On Friday, the temperature in most areas of the state was recorded between 42 to 46 degrees. Fire is raining from the sky in the state from west to east. It has become difficult to go out during the day. Due to the scorching heat and rising temperatures, there is silence on the streets of many cities only after 11 am. The scorching heat is not allowing us to rest till 6 o’clock in the evening.
Temperature reached 46 degrees in Phalodi also
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature was 46 degrees in Phalodi, 46.4 degrees in Dholpur, 46.3 in Fatehpur of Sikar, 46.2 in Jalore, 45.9 in Pilani, 45.8 in Banasthali of Jaisalmer and Tonk, 45.7 in Churu, 45.5 in Karauli, Anta of Baran and Jodhpur. And 45.4 degree Celsius has been recorded in Sriganganagar. Apart from these, 45.2 degrees have been recorded in Dungarpur in Bikaner and 45.1 degrees in Sangriya of Hanumangarh. The lowest temperature in the state was 35 degrees in the hill station Mount Abu.
A new round of heat wave will start from today
The Meteorological Department has warned that the weather in the state is likely to remain mainly dry in the coming days. A new phase of heat wave will start from today. This is likely to continue for the next one week. Along with this, the maximum temperature may increase by 2-3 degrees in the next 48 hours. Strong hot winds may blow at isolated places in Ajmer, Jaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Bharatpur divisions from May 18 to May 20.
