New Delhi. A statement of Rahul Gandhi is much discussed these days. Rahul Gandhi is continuously saying in his election rallies that if the government is formed at the Centre, he will conduct a caste survey and see who has how much money and resources. Then we will take steps towards distributing that resource according to the share in the society. This is called redistribution of wealth. Will Rahul Gandhi’s Redistribution of Wealth be the right move and will it work in India? Renowned economist Gautam Sen has answered this.
According to economist Gautam Sen, the redistribution of wealth that Rahul Gandhi is talking about is not going to work in India. Gautam Sen said that only 12 crore people in India have assets worth Rs 102 crore. All of them have invested this money in their business. To take away their money, businesses would have to close and the economy would grind to a halt. Economist Gautam Sen says that taking away everything from such a person will not make the remaining 98 to 99 percent people in a better situation. He also said that it has to be kept in mind that you will have to conduct a survey in this regard every two years.

Let us tell you that BJP has made Rahul Gandhi’s idea of redistribution of wealth an election issue. PM Narendra Modi is continuously raising this issue in his election public meetings. Modi alleges that Rahul Gandhi will snatch away all the people’s property and even the mangalsutra of women through redistribution of wealth. At the same time, Congress is denying this. Congress leader and Rahul Gandhi’s sister Priyanka Gandhi has said in public meetings that BJP is spreading false propaganda and Congress has not snatched anything from anyone even after ruling the country for 55 years.
