Counting of votes is going on for 24 seats of Bihar Legislative Council (Bihar MLC Election Results) amid tight security arrangements. Voting was held on April 4 (Monday) for the 24 seats of the Legislative Council. After the Bihar Assembly elections, this is the first Legislative Council election, about which political parties have been seen making their claims. In the early trends, NDA seems to be getting an edge. So far the results of 16 seats have been declared, out of which 10 seats have come in NDA’s account and four seats in RJD’s account, while two seats have been won by independent candidates. Apart from this, counting of votes is still going on in 8 seats.
BJP candidate from Purnia-Araria-Kishanganj Legislative Council seat, Dilip Jaiswal secured 6,943 votes. He defeated the RJD candidate who got 1,601 votes. Dinesh Singh of JD(U) won from Muzaffarpur, who defeated Shambhu Singh of RJD by a margin of 4,400 votes.
RJD candidates won in Patna-Gaya
NDA candidate Radha Charan Sah won from Ara-Bhojpur-Buxar who defeated Anil Sramat of Mahagathbandhan. RJD candidate Karthik Kumar won from Patna who defeated independent candidate Karanvir Singh Lallu Mukhiya. RJD candidate Kumar Nagendra won from Gaya-Jehanabad-Arwal. Kumar Nagendra got 3795 votes and JDU’s Manorama Devi got 3267 votes.
At the same time, JDU and BJP have come face to face on many issues, in such a situation, this Legislative Council election is also being considered as a litmus test of the solidarity of these two. At the same time, amid the election results, LJP and RJD workers came face to face in Hajipur and the police had to use sticks to control the situation.
Voting was held on these 24 seats on 4th April.
The 24 seats that went to polls on April 4 include Nalanda, Gaya-Jehanabad-Arwal, Bhojpur-Buxar, Nawada, Rohtas-Kaimur, Begusarai-Khagaria, Saharsa-Madhepura-Supaul, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj, West Champaran, Darbhanga, Patna. , Vaishali, Sitamarhi-Shivhar, Samastipur, Munger-Jamui-Lakhisarai-Sheikhpura, Katihar, Bhagalpur-Banka, Madhubani, Purnia-Araria-Kishanganj, East Champaran and Muzaffarpur.
