The convoy of Dr. Kafeel Khan, the Samajwadi Party’s candidate from Deoria-Kushinagar seat in the MLC elections, was stopped by the UP Police today when he was going for campaigning. Although his convoy was raided to nab black money, but when the police searched the people sitting in it along with the vehicles, only two hundred rupees could be recovered from there.
Kafeel’s heart was filled with this action of Yogi’s police. In a tweet, he shared the video of the police action on his convoy and said that I am contesting the election here by asking for donations and these allegations are costs that there is a sack of money in my car.
Keep in mind that recently Dr. Kafeel Khan had tweeted a video of himself saying that he is contesting the election as a new beginning of his life. He said that I have been fired, need some help. Kafeel Khan also told some numbers on which he can be helped by sending money. Kafeel Khan also wrote in his message that more prayers are needed with all of you.

Kafeel Khan’s name had cropped up in 2017 in the Gorakhpur Medical College in connection with the death of children. He was suspended. He was sacked by the government after the report of the inquiry committee. At present, he has entered politics and is trying to reach the Legislative Council under the flag of Akhilesh. Perhaps the Yogi government is not liking this.
The Legislative Council elections are to be held on 9 April. The term of 36 members of the council has ended. There are 100 seats in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, while there are 403 members of the Legislative Assembly. There is a rule that not more than one third of the members of the Legislative Assembly should be in the Legislative Council. It is also necessary to have at least 40 members in the council. The status of MLC is equivalent to that of MLA. At present, apart from UP, Legislative Councils are also reducing in Bihar, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
