BJP government is sure to be formed in Uttar Pradesh because the people have given full majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party. According to the trends till 7 pm, BJP is leading in 270 seats. People were curious about Kunda, Gauriganj and Azamgarh seats and people wanted to know who would win these seats and what would be the margin of victory of the candidates.
Kunda Assembly seat: In Kunda assembly seat, there was a contest between Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya and Gulshan Yadav of SP. Raja Bhaiya was in the fray for the first time under the banner of his party. Raja Bhaiya defeated SP candidate Gulshan Yadav by more than 30 thousand votes. Raja Bhaiya got 99,261 votes while Gulshan Yadav got 68,843 votes. BJP candidate Sindhuja Mishra came third from Kunda. Sindhuja Mishra got 16347 votes. For the first time since 2002, the Samajwadi Party had fielded a candidate in Kunda. Raja Bhaiya and his supporters had given the slogan of 1.5 lakh paar but the margin of victory was only about 30 thousand. In the 2017 assembly elections, Raja Bhaiya had won by over one lakh votes.
Azamgarh Assembly Constituency: According to the trends till 7.30 pm, Samajwadi Party candidate Durga Prasad Yadav is leading by 7 thousand votes from Azamgarh assembly seat. BJP candidate Akhilesh Mishra is giving tough competition to Durga Prasad Yadav. While the BSP candidate is at number three. Once again Azamgarh seat is seen going to SP’s account. However, the official announcement is still awaited. Durga Prasad Yadav has been elected MLA from this seat eight times. For the 9th time also, it is believed that he will be elected as MLA.
Gauriganj Assembly seat: Rakesh Singh of Samajwadi Party was winning the Gauriganj assembly seat from the last two elections. According to the trends till 7.30 pm in the 2022 assembly elections, Rakesh Singh is leading. Rakesh Singh is leading over BJP candidate by 7000 votes. The victory of Rakesh Singh is also considered certain but the official announcement is still awaited.
Till 3.30 pm, BJP is leading in 272 seats in UP, while Samajwadi Party is leading in 125 seats. Counting of votes is going on in many seats.
