In Pune, Maharashtra, their own people did that work with the girl of the house, which no one had ever imagined. On Saturday (March 19, 2022), the local police reported that a minor girl was allegedly raped by her teenage brother and father at different times, while her grandfather and distant relatives used to molest her.
According to the police, these crimes were allegedly committed in the last five years. A police officer was quoted as saying that a case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for rape and molestation, news agency PTI reported. However, no arrest has been made so far.
According to the police officer, for raping an 11-year-old girl in Pune city’s Bund Garden police station, her brother and father have been booked under IPC section 376, while the victim’s relative and her grandfather have been booked under section 354 (IPC) for molestation. A case has been registered under assault with intent to outrage the modesty of a woman.
The officer further told that the victim and her family originally belong to a province in North India, while they are currently living in Pune. Police Inspector (Crime) Ashwini Satpute said, “The incident came to light when the girl shared her ordeal during a ‘good touch and bad touch’ session at her school. She was facing all this for the last five years.”
Referring to the complaint, Satpute said that the father had started sexually harassing his daughter in the year 2017 and then they were living in Bihar. He said, “The girl’s elder brother started sexually harassing her around November 2020. Her grandfather and a distant relative used to touch her inappropriately.”
Satpute said that since all the incidents happened at different times and the accused were not aware of each other’s movements, it was not a case of gang rape. In this case, sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act will also be added.
