The Income Tax Department team on Tuesday raided the offices and residences of close associates of Shiv Sena leaders Aaditya Thackeray and Anil Parab in Maharashtra. These raids are being conducted in Mumbai and Pune. On the other hand, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has targeted the BJP regarding this raid.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said on the action being taken by the Income Tax Department, “The only job left for the ED and other central investigating agencies is that wherever there are Shiv Sena workers, wherever there is a Shiv Sena branch, wherever Shiv Sena’s members are located People are going to contest elections. Will raid there.
Sanjay Raut said, “There is a question in everyone’s mind across the country that why are the central investigative agencies targeting only selected people only in states like Maharashtra and West Bengal? So far, Maharashtra has witnessed the highest number of Enforcement Directorate raids.” The Shiv Sena leader questioned the action being taken by the central investigative agencies.
He said, “So far ED action has been taken against 14 prominent people of Mahavikas Aghadi in Maharashtra. Action is being taken against 60 people in West Bengal, but no action is being taken by the ED and Income Tax Department against the people of BJP. Sanjay Raut said that Mumbai Police will start investigation of criminal syndicate and extortion racket in connivance with ED officials.
The Shiv Sena leader claimed, “Take note of me, some of these ED officers will even go to jail.” Raut said that some ED officials are contesting elections on BJP ticket, ED has become BJP’s ATM and I have given the record of extortion by these officers to the Prime Minister. Earlier, the Income Tax Department team had raided the offices and premises of various BMC contractors and Shiv Sena leaders. This is not the first time that Sanjay Raut has given a statement against the ED. A few days ago, the Shiv Sena MP had warned the Enforcement Directorate, saying that if you have the courage, they should come to his house.
