Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, is starting a ‘Janshakti Yatra’ on Sunday (May 1) to connect with farmers and labourers. Tej Pratap Yadav’s move is being seen by many as ‘one more step towards separation from the party’. This yatra of Tej Pratap Yadav is not supported by the party and he is going to start this yatra under the banner of Janshakti Parishad.
The RJD refused to comment on Tej Pratap’s Janshakti Yatra. “We have been asked not to speak about him as it is often misrepresented,” a party spokesperson said. Tej Pratap will visit Karai village of Bihta block of Patna to honor farmers and laborers on International Labor Day.
A source close to Tej Pratap said, “He will take this yatra across Bihar in the coming days. To connect with farmers and laborers of every creed and caste. He will eat ‘sattu’ with farmers and will also visit Dalit settlements and present small statues of Babasaheb BR Ambedkar to the people living there.” Amidst reports of constant neglect by the party, his visit continues to spark discussions in the political circles.
