A Safai Karamchari has won the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on a BJP ticket. Ganesh Chandra Chauhan of BJP has won from Dhanghata assembly seat in Sant Kabirnagar district of UP by a margin of more than 10 thousand votes. Ganesh Chandra Chauhan considers his ideal PM Narendra Modi. Ganesh defeated Algu Prasad of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SUBHSP) candidate by 10,553 votes.
after winning the election Ganesh Chandra Chauhan told ANI While talking to, he said, “PM honored Safai Karamcharis in Prayagraj. He washed their feet and gave a message that the sanitation workers cannot be small. If they are cleaning the mess of the society, then it shows that they are certainly great. BJP and people gave a message that even an ordinary worker can reach greater heights.”
The newly elected MLA further told how he helped people during Corona. They said that“During Corona, I used to carry ‘puri-sabzi’ in a vehicle for rickshaw pullers. Many people of Bihar live in Sant Kabir Nagar. When I was given the ticket, people came to meet me and they got emotional. The day I won, the rickshaw pullers came and hugged me.” After getting elected as MLA, Ganesh Chauhan said that economic condition does not matter and common man can also reach heights.
Please tell that Ganesh Chandra Chauhan’s father also used to work as a sweeper and daily wage worker. BJP had fielded a new candidate in the 2022 elections from Dhanghata assembly seat. In the 2017 assembly elections, BJP had given ticket to Shri Ram Chauhan from Dhanghata and he won and became an MLA. Shri Ram Chouhan was also the Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Yogi cabinet. In the 2022 elections, the party changed the seat of Shri Ram Chauhan and made him a candidate from Khajni assembly constituency and he won.
The BJP alliance has won 273 seats in the UP assembly elections, while the Samajwadi Party alliance has won 125 seats. Yogi Adityanath can take oath as Chief Minister after Holi. On the other hand, SP has made Shivpal Singh Yadav as Leader of Opposition in the assembly.
