Bhubaneswar. On the occasion of Puri’s grand Rath Yatra, Reliance Industries Limited has introduced several services in collaboration with the local district administration, so that the devotees can get safe and comfortable experience. Reliance Foundation is serving warm, delicious food to devotees and police personnel at six places under the grain service. Sanitizers, waste bags and sanitation facilities have also been provided for cleanliness. More than 4,000 trained volunteers, in identifable uniform, are engaged in guidance, water distribution and crowd management.
1.5 lakh environment-friendly fans are also being distributed to relieve heat. 100 aid centers have been set up for police personnel and 3,500 raincoats have been distributed in view of rain. A refreshment kit is also being given to police, volunteers and municipal staff.
Anant Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Industries Limited, said, “Seva, Reliance’s ‘We Care’ is the origin. It is a privilege for us to serve the devotees in Puri. We believe that serving devotees and service workers is similar to that of God.” Reliance has already served in events like Kumbh and has also been engaged in the same sense in this chariot journey.
