For parents, they are the most important children and for children, parents are the most important. Every single thing, every habit of the parents affects the children. In such a situation, a conclusion of a study done to understand the relationship between mother and child has been published in the Journal of Child Development. According to this report, excessive use of smartphones by parents affects their children. This has been revealed in a research published in Child Development Journal. It states that excessive use of smartphones creates a communication gap between mother and child, which affects the development of the child.
Let us tell you that this discovery was made only by a professor of communication disorders at the Stanley Steer School of Health Professionals led by Katie Borodkin in the Scholar Faculty of Medicine at Aviv University. They said they studied mothers of two to three-year-olds to find out about the mother-child relationship. Let us tell you that to do this research work, he was asked to do three things. The first included liking the video after watching a video on a Facebook page, reading magazines and interesting articles, and playing with your kids without Facebook and smartphones.
In this regard, Dr Katie said that this discovery was an attempt to find out what was going on between the mother and the children when a mother used a smartphone while taking care of the children. However, he was not aware of this experiment. During this research, some mothers use smartphones according to their interest while spending time with their children, while some currently read magazines. During this the video conversation between mother and child was taped and later intelligently prepared.
The researchers divided this conversation into three parts. According to later studies, it plays an important role in the development of language in children. Mothers who communicate less or talk less with their children, do not develop as much language in those children. In the study, mothers who spent more time with their children had better language and social development. Ultimately, the mother’s reaction to anything she said to these children was examined. For example, if a child says, ‘Look, truck’, there is no comparison between the mother’s reaction to ‘Yeah, that’s great’ and ‘true’. Then if he says, ‘This is the same red truck you saw yesterday.’ This means that the mother communicates more with the child. This will make the child more developed linguistically, socially and emotionally.
